Compliance Associate

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing annual AML and other reports.
- Participate in compliance advisory client work.
- Review existing and new AML/CFT Laws, Regulations, Directives and guidance, advising on their impact on office operations, and making recommendations to the Compliance Officer.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure procedures align with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance procedures and provide advice on risk management.
- Assist in training and educating staff on compliance functions and obligations.
- Liaise with clients and provide support in relation to our AML requirements.
- Assist with client onboarding process.
- Conduct day-to-day client reviews and inspections to assess the company’s compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
- Liaise with banks and counterparties in relation to internal and client KYC matters.
- Monitor and assess the implementation of policies, practices, procedures, controls, and risk management measures.
- Identify, record, and evaluate risks associated with existing and new customers, updating and amending company systems and procedures accordingly.
- Perform other relevant duties assigned for the overall benefit of the firm.
Candidate Profile
- Graduate degree from a reputable university in Law, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in a corporate compliance environment.
- CySEC/ICA AML Certificate (an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of AML regulations.
- Fluent in both Greek and English (written and verbal).
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Excellent research skills.
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and disciplined.
